Holographic Sound?

Another crazy thought from an ignorant fool…

If a focused ultrasonic sound source and a subsonic sound source were aimed at each other, with (if necessary) some sort of medium in between, could/would the inaudible sound waves combine forming a midrange audible sound emanating from the midway point seemingly without source?

What if we use light instead? infrared and ultraviolet (a source that doesn’t emit any visible light)… Would that create a white light seemingly without source in mid-air?
